About Arcworks
Arcworks is a small, family-owned business located at 2/25 Smith Street, Capalaba—a well-known hub for trades and industry. With a strong focus on quality, compliance, and exceeding customer expectations, Arcworks specializes in custom aluminium and steel fabrication for residential, commercial, and bespoke projects.
Originally founded as Richie’s Fabrications, the business has grown into a trusted name in South East Queensland, known for precision, craftsmanship, and high-quality installations. No matter the size or complexity, every project is built with durability, functionality, and seamless design in mind.
Meet the Team
Richie - Owner
With over 20 years of fabrication experience, Richie leads Arcworks with a focus on quality, detail, and getting things done right. From structural steel to custom metalwork, he takes pride in delivering results that are both seamless and built to last. Richie is also passionate about supporting the next generation of fabricators, by mentoring both apprentices and students on work experience.
Richie is a proud father his daughter Myla, who, at just one-year-old, has already claimed the title of Office Supervisor (specialising in keyboard button smashing).
When Richie’s not working, he’s out on the soccer field, just as passionate about scoring goals as he is about building them.
Tom
As a highly skilled fabricator, Tom brings depth, versatility, and precision to every aspect of our work at Arcworks. After spending two years in Italy refining his craft in the stainless steel boat building industry, he returned to Australia and quickly became a foundational part of the workshop.
With deep onsite knowledge and hands-on experience across residential and commercial aluminium and structural steel fabrication, Tom plays a central role in delivering quality outcomes across the board. He approaches every job with care, treating each one as if it were his own.
When he’s not on the tools, Tom enjoys getting out on the water and spending time fishing with his two sons, a quieter balance to the fast-paced nature of the workshop.
Reuban
At just 18 years old, Reuben is already making his mark as a first-year apprentice at Arcworks. Nearly a year into the job, he’s all in, passionate about the craft, proud of the work, and always eager to learn something new. Whether it’s picking up a new skill or tackling a tricky weld, Reuben brings energy and commitment to every task.
Beyond the workshop, Reuben keeps active with football (playing for the same team as Richie at Capalaba FC), trains at the gym, and enjoys time with his girlfriend — keeping life busy, balanced, and never boring.
Gui
Gui brings a hardworking and dependable attitude to everything he does at Arcworks. Originally from Brazil, he’s known for his attention to detail, calm approach, and the positivity he brings to the team each day. Gui plays a key role in keeping projects organised and progressing behind the scenes.
Outside of work, he’s a proud dad of two young boys and enjoys spending time with his family — always bringing a positive attitude wherever he goes.
Jesse
Jesse is in the early stages of his fabrication apprenticeship and has quickly become a dependable part of the Arcworks team. Over the past few months, he’s been focused on building strong foundational skills and gaining hands-on experience across a range of materials and processes.
He’s driven by a genuine interest in the trade — from working with his hands to learning the precision and care that goes into every job. Outside of work, Jesse enjoys camping, hunting, and making the most of the outdoors.
Emma
Emma helps behind the scenes at Arcworks, supporting the brand through social media, website updates, and creative input on things like signage and design. As Richie’s partner, she brings a thoughtful mix of organisation and creativity to the business — often with a laptop in hand and a toddler nearby.
Outside of Arcworks, Emma is a secondary teacher specialising in business and law, and balances her time between the classroom, family life, and keeping the brand running smoothly in the background.
